About the Erasmus+ Programme
Erasmus+ is a programme for higher education institutions and their students and staff. Other institutions, organisations or companies that cooperate with universities may also take part in some of its activities. The aim of the programme is to improve the quality of education in participating countries by developing international cooperation between universities and supporting the mobility of students and staff.
Studies and internships
- students can go abroad for studies or internships
- possible during any cycle of studies (bachelor’s, master’s, long-cycle master’s)
- in total no more than 12 months
Internships
- you find the host institution yourself – its profile should match your field of study and expectations
- you can use surveys, internship offer portals and bilateral agreements signed by the university unit
- recruitment is year-round
Note: Our students can apply for Erasmus+ mobility to all universities on the list that have signed an agreement with our Faculty. This means that there are dozens of universities to choose from. The selected university must have a faculty offering a field of study similar to yours, and you must be able to choose courses corresponding to those in the study programme at your home university.

How to prepare for the recruitment step by step
- Choose your universitiesChoose three universities you would like to attend during your mobility and indicate your first choice.
- Fill in the application form on the NCU website
Path to the form: umk.pl → international cooperation → ERASMUS+ 2021–2027 → Erasmus+ Studies → Online forms, guides, surveys and documents → Application form for ERASMUS+ studies.
- Gather all documents
- certificate of grade point average (issued by your dean’s office)
- certificate of English language proficiency (certificate, high school leaving exam, or course of studies card if you have already completed an English language course)
- completed online application form (see step 2)
- cover letter (in English) explaining why you want to take part in the programme and why you chose the indicated universities, addressed to the Erasmus+ Recruitment Committee
- preliminary study programme – the subjects you will study during your stay, prepared for the university indicated as your first choice
- opinion of the course coordinator on the study programme. For mobility during the 3rd year of first-cycle, 2nd year of second-cycle or 5th year of long-cycle master’s studies, written consent of your academic supervisor or thesis advisor is also required (see specimen documents)
- Submit the documentsAfter collecting the documents, fill in the online document submission form (Microsoft Forms) and attach all documents as scans.
- Wait for contactThe Department of International Partnerships and Mobility will contact you after your application is accepted by the host university.
Note: After starting your mobility, if you cannot complete your selected courses (e.g. due to a lack of available places), you may choose alternative courses in line with your curriculum. This must be done within 30 days of starting your mobility and requires prior approval from the faculty coordinator.
