Interest:
Assistant Professor at the Institute of Sociology, Nicolaus Copernicus University. Editor in the Journal of Family Studies. Member of the Executive Board of the European Sociological Association Research Network 13 Sociology of Family and Intimate Lives. In 2015 she defended her PhD on fatherhood in Poland and Sweden at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. She received her habilitation degree in 2024 the Institute of Sociology NCU. Her research interests include issues related to the sociology of the family, gender and social inequalities, critical studies on men and masculinities, and family politics.
She is the author of 'Men, Fathering and the Gender Trap', published by Palgrave Macmillan, and 'Parenting and work in Poland. A gender studies perspective', published by Springer (open access book: https://www.springer.com/gp/book/9783030663025).

Online through MS Teams (k.suwada@o365.umk.pl) on Tuesdays at 9:00-11:30. It is possible to make an appointment for another date (onsite or online) via e-mail or MS Teams chat.
